GCP Big Data Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled GCP Big Data Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform services including BigQuery, Dataproc, and Cloud Composer. The ideal candidate should have experience working with large-scale data environments, cloud-based data processing, and analytics-driven solutions.

The role involves building and optimizing data pipelines, performing exploratory data analysis, developing Tableau dashboards, and implementing CI/CD best practices. The candidate will work closely with partner teams to strengthen data architecture, improve scalability, and support business-driven insights.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage data solutions using Google Cloud Platform services such as BigQuery, Dataproc, and Cloud Composer.
• Collaborate with partner teams to strengthen and optimize target data architecture.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify insights and business trends.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reporting solutions.
• Implement data modeling and dashboard performance tuning techniques.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and follow development best practices.
• Manage Git-based version control, Jenkins automation, and code integration processes.
• Participate in peer code reviews and ensure coding standards are followed.
• Support cloud-based data processing and large-scale data management activities.
• Work closely with analytics and business teams to deliver actionable insights.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or related field.

5+ years of experience in Big Data Engineering or GCP Data Engineering.

Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform services including BigQuery, Dataproc, and Cloud Composer.

Experience with Tableau dashboard development, data modeling, and performance tuning.

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, and development best practices.

Basic knowledge of Python and experience working with large-scale data environments preferred.
