Senior SDET (Java + Selenium Automation Engineer)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) with 8+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation testing frameworks for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java, Selenium Automation Testing, API Testing, Test Framework Development, and CI/CD practices.

The candidate will work closely with development, product, and QA teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software through effective automation strategies and testing best practices. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to drive quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

This position is based in Bangalore, India, and offers an excellent opportunity to work on large-scale enterprise applications while contributing to automation excellence and continuous quality improvement.

Location: Bangalore, India
Compensation: Preferred budget is ₹25–26 LPA based on experience, technical expertise, and interview performance. Exceptional candidates may be considered up to ₹27 LPA, but compensation should not exceed this range.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation test frameworks using Java and Selenium.
• Create and execute automated test cases for web and API applications.
• Develop reusable automation utilities and testing components.
• Perform API testing using REST Assured or similar tools.
• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze test results and identify root causes of defects.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to improve software quality.
• Participate in code reviews and automation framework enhancements.
• Maintain test documentation and quality metrics.
• Support Agile development and release processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Strong expertise in Java and Selenium WebDriver.
• Experience with TestNG, JUnit, and automation framework development.
• Hands-on experience in API testing using REST Assured or similar tools.
• Good understanding of SQL and database validation.
• Experience working with Git, Maven, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
